Accessibility Statement

Unifai is committed to making its platform accessible to all users, including people with disabilities, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law (5758–1998), Israeli Standard IS 5568, the European Accessibility Act (EAA), the EU Web Accessibility Directive (2016/2102), and the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III.

Our Commitment

Unifai aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We believe that everyone, regardless of ability, should be able to discover and enjoy AI-generated content and tools. Accessibility is an ongoing effort — we continuously test, audit, and improve our platform.

Conformance Status

Unifai is "partially conformant" with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard due to limitations described below.

Accessibility Features

Our platform includes the following accessibility features:

• Custom accessibility control panel, opened via the floating accessibility button

• Adjustable text size (100%, 125%, 150%, 200%)

• High contrast and inverted color modes

• Light, dark, and system color themes

• Reduced motion toggle (disables animations and transitions)

• Link highlighting option (underlines and outlines all links)

• Dyslexia-friendly typeface (Atkinson Hyperlegible)

• Global pause for auto-playing videos

• Skip-to-main-content keyboard shortcut

• Full keyboard navigation

• Semantic HTML with ARIA landmarks and labels

• Screen reader compatibility (tested with NVDA and VoiceOver)

• Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements

• Right-to-left (RTL) language support for Hebrew and Arabic

• Color contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA standards

Supported Assistive Technologies

The platform is designed to work with:

• NVDA screen reader on Windows

• JAWS screen reader on Windows

• VoiceOver on macOS and iOS

• TalkBack on Android

• Standard keyboard navigation (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Escape, arrow keys)

• Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some limitations exist:

• **Third-party embedded content**: Content from external AI tool providers may not always meet the same accessibility standards. We are not responsible for the accessibility of third-party websites linked from Unifai.

• **AI-generated images**: Automatic alt text for AI-generated images is derived from the original prompt when available. Manual alt text review is an ongoing effort.

• **Video content**: Auto-generated captions are not yet available for all AI-generated videos on the Show feed. Users can globally pause videos via the accessibility panel.

• **Complex interactive visualizations**: The Discover grid uses advanced layout features that may degrade on older assistive technologies. A simplified list view is planned.

Technologies Used

Unifai relies on the following technologies for accessibility and compatibility:

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES2022+)

• WAI-ARIA 1.2

• Next.js 16 with React 19

• Progressive Web App standards

Assessment Approach

The accessibility of Unifai is assessed through:

• Automated testing with axe-core and Lighthouse

• Manual keyboard-only navigation testing

• Screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)

• Color contrast verification using WebAIM Contrast Checker

• Periodic review by external accessibility consultants
