Suno generates complete songs — instrumentation + vocals + lyrics or instrumental-only — from a text prompt or short description. v4 (released 2025) brought vocal quality to near-indistinguishable from real artists for short clips. Pricing tiered $0-$30/month; commercial use included on paid tiers. Currently embroiled in RIAA lawsuit over training data. Used heavily for: ad music, podcast intros, social video soundtracks, songwriter idea-sketching. The category split with Udio (instrumentals + longer-form) and Mubert (API-first royalty-free). For full songs with vocals, Suno is the default.
